Bowling.

We spent our family time today bowling.  The last time we went bowling, we were living in Copenhagen and Ansley was sitting on the lane in an infant car seat.  I guess that makes the last time 4 years ago.

Barrett really started to get the hang of it, although her balls took quite some time to get to the end of the lane.

Clayton enjoyed the first ball he threw.

However, he decided that he'd rather be playing video games, which is where he is pointing in this picture.

This was Ansley's preferred method of bowling.  The "sit down on the lane and roll the ball" method.

This was the happiest Clayton was the entire time.  Searching through my purse and eating my breath mints.  Oh, the simple pleasures.

I did figure out one thing, however.  I am a much better bowler with the kiddie "bumpers" in place.  I throw fewer gutter balls that way.

I'm with Ansley...whatever gets it done man. I'm also pretty good with kiddie bumpers or those little bowling ball slides..have you seen those? You line it up in your lane, put your ball on the top of it and roll it down. Sounds like you had a fun day.

Looks like you had fun!!

Last time we went bowling the boys were practically begging me to use bumpers because I had so many gutter balls!

I love Clayton's face in that picture. Did you let that guy play any games at all??

Who bowls without the bumper guards? It is the only way for me to get a score above 100!

I LOVE that you photograph your kids when they are crying. It never ceases to make me laugh. It has inspired me to start doing the same. :)
