Candy Addicts Anonymous.

Hi.  I'm Peaches and I have a problem.  A SERIOUS problem.  It's not alcohol or narcotics.  It's candy.  At certain times of the year, namely Halloween and Easter, I'm totally at the mercy of my cravings and the seasonal pickings at the store.

I was going through (a ridiculously silly Facebook) questionnaire with my 4-1/2 year old recently and one of the questions was "What is your mommy's favorite food?"  Ansley answered without hesitation, "Candy Corn and Peeps."

It's not far from the truth.  If left on a deserted Island, I'm certain I could survive with nothing but Peeps and Candy Corn.  It's disgusting, I know.  Fortunately (or sometimes unfortunately), I'm at the mercy of the big American marketing machine and the calendar year.

Ansley's also commented to me the other day, "When I'm an adult, I'm going to eat candy all day."  Hmmm.  I try very hard to model good eating habits for my children, however Ansley's comments tell me one one very important thing about my candy addition.  I'm doing a TERRIBLE job of concealing my problem!! Henceforth, I'm going to try to conceal my addition better.

What do you think about this??

A closer look at the eggs in my fridge:

Peeps! You're speakin my language. Do you love them more when they're a smidge stale? Have you ever seen how big they get when you microwave them? Love me some Easter candy and may I just say well done on the eggs in your fridge, lol!

Blessings, Carolynn

PS, I tagged you on my blog!

If I did not give birth to Reagan myself I would swear she was one of yours. From her thumbsucking to not being able to fall asleep with out a night-night. Reagan is a crazy person when it comes to candy! I guess she just spent too much time in her very young impressionable first year with the Bruce girls. I would not have it any other way!
