Something's Fishy Around Here.

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Monterey at the Aquarium and taking in the sites.  We had a great, relaxing (albeit short) trip.  [We received lots of suggestions from our unofficial travel agents.]

In comparing the Monterey Aquarium to the Georgia Aquarium, the jelly fish and sea horse exhibits in Monterey were outstanding.  Barrett was particularly fascinated by these sea nettles.

Clayton was definitely more interested in the "hands on" exhibits.

The kids had fun pretending to be a clam [or an oyster or pearl depending how you think of it].

The girls also got in their first swimming of the season in the hotel's heated pool.

The kids did have a bit of trouble settling in for the night. [I'm pretty sure it was due to the fact we allowed them to drink Shirley Temples at dinner.]

[I'm not sure I'll ever get used to this gummy grin, but I do love it!]
