Homesick.

I don't get homesick very often.  It's usually a passing feeling that resolves itself pretty quickly. However, I'd say that in the last 5 years, I've been officially homesick twice.

The first time was when we were living in Denmark.  It was October 25, 2004.  How do I remember the exact date? It was the day my second niece was born.  I so wanted to be home and see that beautiful baby.  It would be another eight months before I would get home to see her.

The second time I got homesick was last Thursday, April 23rd. It was the day my nephew was born.  Reid Clayton.

Fortunately, I will see him in a little over two months.  Isn't he adorable?? Who wouldn't be homesick?? Congratulations to my brother and sister-in-law.  And to my nephew Reid, Auntie will be there soon!

What a cutie! I know how you feel. I rarely get homesick but when I do it's usually because I know there is some family gathering happening that I am missing.

What a gorgeous baby! I felt homesick during those times too, I lived in San Diego while my two nephews and one niece were born!

He is an absolute doll, Peaches. I also love that he shares the name Clayton.

Congratulations, Auntie!
